About the cemetery

Dačice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈdatʃɪtsɛ]; German: Datschitz) is a town in Jindřichův Hradec District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,100 inhabitants. The town is located on the Moravian Thaya River in the Křižanov Highlands. Dačice is known as the home of the sugar cube, which was invented here in 1841 by Jakob Christof Rad. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
