Mass grave site. The camp was established in Jarek, a Danube Swabian (Donauschwaben) village 15 km outside of Novi Sad, and operated between December 1944 and April 1946. Over 17,000 ethic Germans were held in the camps by the Soviets, and approximately 6,500 died.

About 50 km southeast of Ljubljana. This is one of the few remaining German cemeteries in the Kočevje (Germ. Gottschee) region. The German name of the village was Altlag. The cemetery was restored through funding provided by several groups. The cemetery was established after 1824 and comprises three sets of graves: Gottschee Germans, postwar Slovenians, and people killed during the Italian Offensive of August 1942, as well as a monument to the Slovenian poet Miran Jarc.
