📍 Ljubljana, Slovenia

This is a former cemetery. It was created in 1779 and the first burial took place on May 4th that year. It was expanded in 1796, 1800, and 1872. Along with two churches, it was destroyed in the 1950s to build the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Center ( Gospodarsko razstavišče ) for the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia. Aghia Paraskevi Cemetery

Aghia Paraskevi Cemetery

📍 Γιαννιτσά, Grecia

It is the 2nd Cemetery of the Town of Giannitsa and the smallest (out of three). It is situated between the church of Aghia Paraskevi and the Athletic Stadium of the Town. The lack of space, the lack of care and maintenance on behalf of the authorities of the town and the growing of trees and overall vegetation made this cemetery to become almost completely out of use in the latest years, especially after the construction of the 3rd cemetery (New Cemetery of Giannitsa). The cemetery has various graves from the interwar period as well as relatively recent ones. Moreover, a part of it, was used and still remains as a Military Cemetery for the National Army and Police Force fallen ones during the Civil War Era (1944-1949).

Astakos Municipal Cemetery

Astakos Municipal Cemetery

📍 Αστακός, Grecia

The village of Astakos is situated on the south west tip of the Greek mainland, a few kilometres north west of the town of Mesologi and opposite the island of Ithaca. The municipal cemetery is located on the right hand side of the road just before you enter the village if coming from the direction of Thessaloniki and the left hand side of the road after the village if coming from Athens. The British military plot is to the rear of the cemetery on the far left side. The cemetery contains 11 Royal Navy graves from the period 1890 to 1911. It does not contain any First or Second World War Commonwealth graves. The Commission maintains the plot on behalf of the British Government.
