JAMIESON Residents of the town and district will hear with regret of the death on active service of Private J. A. (Andy) Jamieson. Son of an old and respected settler, the late Mr John Jamieson, Andy was born in Auckland and educated at the Te Puke School and the Auckland Grammar School. He was connected with the Native Department at Rotorua for a time before joining the legal firm of Coony and Jamieson (solicitor) . He was interested in many branches of sport and also served with distinction on the Te Puke Borough Council, of which body he was deputy-mayor before entering camp. Great sympathy is expressed to his sister, Miss Kate Jamieson and two brothers, Colin and Robert.
