In memoriam

Died in the Hebrew year of 5617.

Translation: Blessed be the judge of truth; and this stone that I laid as a memorial to the wise and elevated, oppressed by his sufferings, the man, Aharon Fintz, his soul in Eden. And Aharon died on the 18th day of the month of Shivat. May his seed inherit the earth, let it be. The year 5617 (1857).
