Surname also spelled Malavašic. On Easter morning 1945 (April 1st) the Partisans attacked a Home Guard truck between Godovič and Črni Vrh that was returning from Otlica. Four Home Guard members, including the priest Alfonz Malavašič, were killed in the attack and six were wounded. Source: Zaveza no. 49
