In memoriam

Transylvanian nobleman from the Báthory family, and like his brother, Andrew Báthory, an opponent of the Habsburgs in Transylvania. A cenotaph for Balthasar and his brother Andrew is found at the Church of St. Andrew in what is now Barczewo, Poland.
