In memoriam
Born about 1870 in the village of Glossa on the island of Skopelos. She had two sons and two daughters that reached adulthood. The sons, Apostolos/Paul and Nikolaos/George, emigrated to the United States in 1905 and 1911 respectively. She died between 1911 and 1917, reportedly from a poisonous snake bite while retrieving wood for cooking from a pile of wood next to her home.
