Ferdinand was the son of Matija Podobnik and Marija Juricic. He was baptized 1 Jun 1903 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Ravna Gora. He married Paulina Liker on 19 Jul 1930 at St. Theresa of Avila church.
