Franc Pezdir

In memoriam

Son of Janez Pezdir and Frančiška Pezdir. Born in Brezovica pri Ljubljani, lived in Sveti Vid. Murdered after the Second World War at Kočevje Rog. Pezdir was the curate at Sveti Vid and became the parish administrator after the Partisans murdered Karel Žužek, the parish priest, in 1942. After the war he withdrew to Austria with Home Guard troops and was held at Viktring, from which he was returned to Yugoslavia by British troops and then killed.
