Pte. Higgs, served with the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. He subsequently served with the 6th Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers in the Balkans where he died of wounds age 26, the son of Joseph and Alice Gertrude Higgs of Cookham Dean, Berks.
