Private 13420 9th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment. Killed in action, aged 27 years. Husband of Edna Wood (nee Rhodes). Married at St Clements' Church, in 1913. Lived at 19, Clement Street, Rochdale. Father of Hannah (b.5.9.1913). Son of John and Mary Hannah Wood , brother of John William. Enlisted at Rochdale, in September 1914. Worked for Turner Brothers, Spotland, Rochdale.
