WW2 Service Australian Army Rank Signalman TX2461 Posting on Death: 1 Corps of Signals, he was killed in action in Greece. Description Studio portrait of TX2461 Signalman (Sig) Ian Cameron D'Emden, 1 Australian Corps of Signals, of Hobart, Tas. Sig D'Emden enlisted on 12 June 1940, and served in Greece. He was reported missing on 5 June 1941, and information subsequently received by the International Red Cross from the German Army indicated that he had been killed in action on 27 April 1941; he has no known grave. His name is recorded on the Athens Memorial. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Hobart Tas, also his name is located at panel 26 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial. Son of Brian Lovett D'Emden and Christina Cameron Brown D'Emden, of Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Father Brian Lovett D'Emden (1888-1959) Mother Christina Cameron Brown Galt (1896-1961)
