Jakob Janz

Presumed husband of Luise Janz, whose inscription is on the same stone as his. -------------------------------------------- It appears that Jakob was born in 185_ and died in 192_. There isn't enough information on the grave marker to positively identify this couple, however, it's possible that... according to "Illischestie: A Rural Parish in Bukovina" by Johann Christian Dressler, and translated and edited by Irmgard Hein Ellingson ... they might have been Jacob Janz, a shoemaker from Illischestie (born November 15, 1855 to Johann Friedrich Janz and his wife Christina Kelsch), and his wife Luise Mai (born May 27, 1856), who had 10 children.
