Service Number: 7/38 Unit: NZEF, New Zealand Mounted Rifles Brigade, Canterbury Mounted Rifles Birth details as on Attestation papers.. Attesting 13th August 1914 at Timaru, Embarking 16th October 1914 from Lyttleton, NZ, with the Canterbury Mounted Rifles, Main Body to Suez, Egypt, on either the vessel Tahiti or Athenic. William died of Enteric Fever at 10th Stationary Hospital, Mudros. Son of the late Mr. W. Davis, of Geraldine, Canterbury, New Zealand.
