Service Number 7150 Previous Service Number 1545 Owen Rodgers was born to Bridget Rodgers, seamstress, in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. Under previous Service Number 1545 - On 26 Jun 1899, at age 17, Owen Rodgers was a labourer. He enlisted at Enniskillen as a Private with the 27th Foot, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. In 1901, Owen was 19 and a message boy. He lived with his widowed mother and younger sister Agness in Enniskillen. Under final Service Number 7150 - Corporal Owen Rodgers served with the 2nd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry on the Macedonian Front. In 1915 - The 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry fought at St Eloi and in the 2nd Battle of Ypres. Nov 1915 - Sent to Salonika, arrived 5 Dec 1915. Beginning 30 Sep 1916 - captured Karajakois, then Yenikoi; then fought in battle of Tumbitza Farm. -- in https://wartimememoriesproject.com/greatwar/allied/battalion.php?pid=7545 Aug 1916 -- The Allied forces held a defensive line and halted a Bulgarian offensive 12 Sep 1916 - Allies staged a counter-attack in Battle of Kaymakchalan.  Oct into Nov 1916 - In rough terrain, cold and snow, Allied forces made slow but steady gains. By 19 Nov 1916 - The French and Serbian armies captured Kaymakchalan, the Nidže mountain peak, and forced the Central powers to abandon Bitola. @60,000 Bulgarians and Germans were killed, wounded or captured.
