In memoriam
Robert Gee was my gr-uncle. Here is his information: Pvt. Robert Gee 2418, 1st/8th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers Robert was born in Prestwich, Lancs; and resided in Pendleton Lancs. Robert was wounded whilst fighting in WW1. He was hospitalised and died of wounds in Turkey. Turkey didn't allow anyone to be buried on their soil that was not of Turkish origin. Therefore, Robert had to be buried in Greece. He lays to rest in Mundros, Greece. Never returned to his mother. He was 19 years of age.
