Adam Sezonov

Adam SEZONOV was a well known industrialist and philanthropist, founder of the Baptist Church in Braila (1919) whose building he raised with his own funds in 1923. He also was among the founding members of the Baptist Union of Romania in which he held several significant positions. From a business perspective, Adam was a successful entrepreneur, the most important business being an oil factory in Braila, one of the most modern at national level. The Oil Factory "Adam Sezonov" was nationalized by Communists on June 11th, 1948. Soon afterward it was decommissioned and the equipment moved to other factories. Adam Sezonov was married twice. First on 24th October 1908 with Lydia ROSNER (January 6, 1878, Măxineni, Brăila County - October 22, 1947, Brăila). They were married in Constanta by a well known Evangelical leader, Sembat Bagdasarianz.
