Albert Henry Hutchins

24196 Private Albert Henry Hutchins, Died of Malaria while serving in the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. Albert was born and lived in Shalbourne Berkshire, later Wiltshire, and had enlisted at Newbury Town recruitment centre for service in the British Army. He was the son of Edward (b.1877) & Agnes (b.1877) Hutchins who according to the 1901 England, Wales & Scotland Census, were living at Folly Farm, Mildenhall, Marlborough, Wiltshire with their three children Albert (b.1896), William (b.1898) and Lily (b.1901). By the 1911 Census, taken on the 2nd.April, the family had moved to Clatford, Preshute Without, Marlborough. (Clatford is a small hamlet approximately 1 mile west of the village of Manton and about 2 miles west of Marlborough).
