In memoriam

Acting Sergeant 6357 12th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action, aged 23 years. Son of Thomas and Nancy Mallinson, 90 Shaw Road, Newhey, Rochdale. Brother of Emma (b.1892), Albert (b. 1893), Elsie (b.1896), Lily (b.1899), Edward, (b.1901), Walter (b.1904), Harry (b.1906), Edith (b.1907) Frank, (b.1909), Annie and Doris (both b.1910). Brother in law of Private Percy DRONSFIELD , (9th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers), who was killed 26.9.1916 and who is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France. Enlisted at Rochdale, September 6th 1914. Employed at Greenhalghs' Mill, Ogden. Member of St. Thomas' choir, Newhey.
