Albert Victor Paul

In memoriam

Son of William Henry Paul and Selina Margaret Cordy who were married on the 18th August 1889 at the Parish Church in Bishop Ryder, Birmingham. His father died at the age of thirty-five in 1900. His mother later married Walter Henry Gardner in 1906. In 1911 Albert was living with his mother, step-father, siblings, and his widowed maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Hughes, at 200, Brunswick Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham. At the time, he was employed as a painter and decorator. Albert married Rosina Ponsford in 1913, the marriage was registered in King's Norton, Worcestershire, they had a daughter, Rosina. He is commemorated on his mother's and step-father's headstone in Yardley Crematorium and Cemetery, in Birmingham, England (pictered left).
