Alexis Golfis

Alexis Golfis (March 9, 1948 - August 2007) was a Greek actor who became known to the general television audience of the role of Manolis in the series "Christ Recrucified" in the mid-1970s. He made his first steps in cinema, playing very minor roles in Thanassis Wenge strips, named "Alex GOLF" Titles. The big moment was on TV when Georgiadis director Claus assigned him the role of Christ in Manoliou- dizzying array of the homonymous novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, in 1975-1976. In addition to this series, however, was involved in many other Greek television productions that have made great success, as "Due Honor" and "The Escape" (1996). The last years of his life was very difficult and the actor took years for substances. He died in 2007 at age 59 years
