Bosnian Statesman. He served as the 4th Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from March 2, 2001 to February 14, 2003. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo in 1969 and later earned his masters' degree in marketing. He went on to work in both the private and educational sector before being entering the political field in 1998 as both a member of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly and as Deputy Chairman of the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2001, he became prime minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina and served in this position until 2003. In 2006, he was elected to the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and served there until being appointed the mayor of Sarajevo in 2009. He served as mayor for four years before stepping down in 2013.
