Angela Moldovan

Singer. She was a very well known popular music singer, opera singer and also actress. She graduated High School at Suceava and later the Conservatory from Cluj Napoca. She make her debut at Romanian National Opera from Cluj in 1950. Her first song was the 60' "La Oglindă", written by George Coşbuc. Her most known song was "Mi-am făcut bundiţă nouă", which she had learned from her grandmother. In her longtime carrer, she played in numerous opera shows like "Nunta lui Figaro" (W. A. Mozart), "Rigoletto" (G. Verdi), "Hänsel şi Gretel" (E. Humperdinck). Her greatest hits include "Fata neichii", "Mi-am pus dorul pe cântar", "Cine stă posomorâtă" and "Asta-i sârba mărunţică". As actress she acted in the 1972' Veronica and 1973' Veronica' Back. In 2002 she was decorated with the National Order Steaua României as Knight for her talent. She died of cardiac problems.
