Ankica Tuđman

In memoriam

First Lady of Croatia. She served in the role as First Lady from December 22, 1990 until December 10, 1999. Her husband was President of Croatia, Franjo Tuđman during the same time period. She was the mother of Miroslav Tuđman who was a former member of parliament and presidential candidate. She attended a hospitality school until she abandoned her studies to join the Partisans. She married Tuđman on May 25, 1945 and they had 2 children. As a First Lady she stood by her husband for the most. The only outstanding thing she did in her role as First Lady was to found the Humanitarian Foundation for the Children of Croatia. She passed away at the age of 96.
