Anna Sinodinou (21 November 1927 - January 7, 2016) was a Greek actress and politician. He was distinguished mainly in the roles of ancient drama and the younger repertoire. He also appeared in foreign and Greek film films, TV series and theatrical productions for television and radio. Anna Sounodinou was born in Loutraki, Corinthia. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theater (1947-1949). The stage first appeared in 1948 in the work of Edmund Rostan "Sierno de Bergerac", directed by Dimitris Rontiris for the National Theater. He then collaborated with Dino Iliopoulos, Mimi Fotopoulos and Nikos Chatziskos in the free theater. After a few sporadic appearances with the National Theater, he was a permanent executive from 1956 to 1964 and he excelled for his performances alongside Katina Paxinou, Alexis Minotis and Thanos Kotsopoulos in the leading roles of the ancient tragedy and the newest classic Repertoire. In 1955 and 1957 he was awarded the prize of Marika Kotopouli. In the meantime he married the triple champion and trader Giorgos Marinakis (1921-2009). In 1965, Anna Synodinou founded the "Greek Stage" troupe and, looking for a theater, leased the old Lycabettus quarry and created the famous Lycabettus Theater, designed by architect Takis Zenetos.
