Anton Brenčič

Anton Brenčič was the son of Anton Brenčič and Marija Vrhovec Brenčič, and was born in Plešivica. He was also known as "Brenčetov ata" (an oeconym). He was the owner of the farm at Plešivica no. 40. He was married to Marija Širjak Brenčič and had five children. He was abducted by the Partisans from his home on 25 August 1942 and shot on the hill above Dragomer, where his body was found by Village Guard forces on 29 November. He was buried at the Notranje Gorice cemetery. His son Anton Brenčič (11 May 1926 - 30 May 1945), also known as "Brenčetov Tonček" (an oeconym), was murdered by the Partisans at Hrastnik after the Second World War.
