Anton Teubl

In memoriam

Anton was born in Backi Brestovac, Austria-Hungary and lived at 66 KirchenG. This was the main street through Backi Brestovac. It was a wide street lined with trees. To the north was the Church. Next door to his house was his Cotton Factory. There he purified the cotton and spun it into thread which later went into the making of cloth. When his son and family fled in 1944 he refused to go wanting to stay and protect his home and business. He was captured and died the following year in a concentration camp.
