On June 7, 2011, she hitchhiked on the bridge near the Čikola River on the Split-Drniš road, and was picked up by Dragan Paravinja. After a 17-month search, the remains were found not far from the highway near Modruš. Paravinja was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
