Artemis Matsas (1930-7 September 2003) was a famous Greek actor, film critic and director. He played in the theater and in a significant number of films and television from 1949 until 1988. His brother was the writer and director Nestor Matsas. His father died in a concentration camp in Germany during WWII. The Artemis Matsas had studied at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory and worked as an art cinema and editor in newspapers and magazines. He died at the age of 73 in Athens.
