Known by middle name of Gordon on the family memorial. Was a farmhand prior to enlistment. Military records show he was wounded at the Dardanelles, Gallipoli. Died on board the hospital ship "SMOH Georgian" of a shrapnel wound to the thigh. His body was taken ashore at Mudros and the burial conducted by Rev. J. Stirling.
