Arto(Charoutioun) Apartian (1956-2010), was a Greek actor of Armenian origin. Born in Athens on 14 November 1956. In 1984, he graduated from the dramatic Pelos Katseli school and entered the theater playing the same year in "The Caucasian Chalk Circle" by Brecht, the Volanaki. His last theatrical participation was in "Millionaire" by Bernard Shaw at the Athens Concert Hall, at the side of Nonika Galinea (2009). He participated in about 50 theater performances of all kinds, from classic and contemporary repertoire to ancient drama. He worked with directors like Spyros Evangelatos Kimoulis George Stamatis Fasoulis Stathis Livathinos etc. In the movie played mainly supporting roles in films such as "Homer" Constantine Giannari, "Stone years" by Pantelis Voulgaris, "Eden is West" by Costa Gavras, The Guilt (2009) Vassilis Mazomenos. which was the last film and in others. He played a leading role in the film "The Return" (2007) by Claus Douvlis, the role of German Greek immigrant who returns home. Also participated in TV series. Arto Apartian died suddenly on June 30, 2010 at the age of 54 years from pulmonary edema and myocardial. He was buried in the cemetery Byron, while the funeral chanted in the Armenian Church of Athens.
