Politician. He received notoriety, as a Romanian, for the special role he played in the Revolution of the Autumn of 1918, being elected president of the Romanian National Council in Orăștie in Transylvania. Following the Grand National Assembly in Alba Iulia , on December 1, 1918 , Vlad was elected a member of the Board of Directors , and with his experience in banking, was head of the Finance Department. He held the positions of minister of finance from 1919 to 1920, minister of cults and the arts from 1928 to 1929 and minister of industry and commerce from 1929 to 1930. After World War II in 1948, the area was separated from Hungary by the Communist. Along with over 200 political prisoners, who were religious figures, businessmen, the most elite professors, and high-ranking politicians, he was arrested by the Securitate, the police of the Communist regime, the night of May 5 to 6, 1950 or "The Night of the Dignitaries." At the age of 75, he was brought to Sighet Prison on May 7th
