BROWN Bertie, Driver 80605. 99th Field Company, Royal Engineers. Died Salonika 28th August 1916, aged 20 years. Son of M and J T Brown of Leverton, Lincs. Born Leverton and enlisted Boston, Lincs. Commemorated SALONIKA (LEMBET ROAD) MILITARY CEMETERY. 335./ Leverton St Helen / Leverton WM The news was received pm Monday by Mr and Mrs John Bown, of the Church End, Leverton, that their son Pte. Bertram Brown had died of dysentery in the hospital at Salonika. The deepest sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Brown and family in their sorrowful bereavement.
