Benedikt Knebl

In memoriam

Benedikt Knebl was born on October 20, 1868 in Hódság, Bács-Bodrog, Hungary (now Odžaci, Vojvodina, Serbia). He married Katharina Csjaka on July 4, 1892 in Újfutak, Bács-Bodrog, Hungary. They had 11 children (possibly 12) in 17 years. He died on October 17, 1945 in the Gakovo Konzentrationslager, Yugoslavia at the age of 76. There were approximately 8,500 deaths in the Gakowa concentration camp (now Gakovo, Vojvodina, Serbia). His wife Katharina Csjaka died in the Filipowa Konzentrationslager on October 8, 1945.
