In memoriam

Boško's parents came here from Serbia in 1970. Dragan was an engineer who worked for the United Nations. Rada was a chemist. They had two sons, Boško and Bane. He was the Serbian boy friend of Admira Ismi ć (they had been sweethearts since highschool) -- they were both shot trying to escape the seige in May of 1993, - they died in each other arms -- their bodies lay in the street for 4 days. Their story is told by journalist Kurt Schork , whose ashes are buried next to them. They are buried together under a heart shaped head stone. They were called "the Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo" because they were different ethnic backgrounds who should have 'hated' each other, but instead they were in love.
