Austria-Hungary (Habsburg) POW Camp
Ostffyasszonyfa was one of the biggest prisoner of war camps in Hungary that was administered the Austro-Hungarian dual-monarchy during the Great War. At its peak, the Ostffyasszonyfa camp held 40,000 – 50,000 POW's. Each year on All Saints' Day an ecumenical service is held and military homage paid to the soldiers who never returned from war and rest in foreign soil.
