Historic Cemetery – Description and History

This historic cemetery is a small and quiet burial site that reflects the life and traditions of a former local community. The cemetery contains a total of 86 graves, arranged in a modest and simple layout, typical of rural burial grounds from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The last burial took place in 1947, after which the cemetery ceased to be actively used. Over the decades, exposure to weather, natural aging, and the lack of new burials have led to the gradual deterioration of many grave markers. As a result, the inscriptions on most of the graves are no longer legible, and many names and dates have been lost to time.

Despite this, the cemetery remains an important historical and cultural site. It preserves the memory of past generations and offers insight into earlier burial customs, local history, and community life. The simplicity of the graves and the quiet atmosphere give the site a strong sense of dignity and remembrance.

Today, the cemetery stands as a place of reflection and respect, honoring those who were laid to rest here and serving as a silent witness to the passage of time and history.
