A Romanian Orthodox church located on the Avram Iancu Square in Cluj-Napoca, Romania built in a combination of Renaissance and Byzantine architecture known as Romanian Byzantine style. The Cathedral is dedicated to the "falling asleep (death)" of Mary, the mother of Jesus; literally the "Dormition of the Theotokos (Romanian: Adormirea Maicii Domnului)," and serves as the seat of the Metropolitan of Cluj, Alba, Criºana and Maramures. The Cathedral is also known as "Dormition of the Theotokos Cathedral."
