The cemetery was established in 1806 by the local Jewish community. It is located on the road to Koprivnica at the intersection with Zaobilaznica Street. It contains a Jewish Ceremonial Hall built in 1900 and has about 600 monuments enclosed by a wall. The Hall is designated a historic landmark location by the United States Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad. The property is now owned and maintained by the Parkovi d.d.
