Zemun Cemetery was established in the middle of 18th century when three cemeteries were combined: the Eastern Orthodox Christian, Roman Catholic, and Jewish. The remains of a defensive wall with bastions from 1841 form the southern wall of the cemetery. A large number of tombstones are in different styles.
