He served in the Royal Army Service Corps, Royal Artillery attd. 106 (The Lancashire Hussars) Lt. A.A. Regt.He was 25 and the son of the Revd. Canon William Charles Bown and Annie Elizabeth Bown.His nickname was "Peter" and he is remebered on the grave of his parents at Orsett, Essex.
