Casualty of the Great War,Charles was a Gunner in the Royal Marine Artillery-H.M.S. "Lord Nelson" - Service No:RMA/10461. He was 33 and the son of William and the late Maria Elizabeth Marshall of Whielden St., Amersham, Bucks.It is on their grave at The Platt Cemetery in Amersham that he is remembered.
