Service Number: 4/603 Unit: New Zealand Engineers Next of Kin: Mrs Ernestina W. Cargill (mother), 31 Hill Street, Mornington, Dunedin, New Zealand Attesting on the 26th October 1914 at Trentham. Clive gave his trade as a Fitter and his employer as N.Z. Govt. Railway Workshops. Embarking with New Zealand Field Engineers, 2nd Reinforcements, 14 December 1914 from Wellington, NZ to Suez, Egypt. Clive died from wounds received in action at Gallipoli At Sea on board the hospital ship "Sicilia" on the way to Malta. Son of the late Alfred Francis and Ernestine Wilhelmina Cargill (now Murison), of Hunter, South Canterbury, New Zealand. Born at Port Pirie, South Australia.
