Commemorated: Britain Place of Death: Middle East Killed in action at sea on 27 April 1941 when the Dutch troopship D.S.S. Slamat and the destroyers H.M.S. Diamond and H.M.S. Wryneck were sunk in air attacks east of the Peloponnese in the evacuation during the Battle of Greece. From this troop, Signalman R. E. Coleman was also killed. Thirty-three Royal Signals all ranks from several units were lost.
