Connie Vellianitis - a 1960 graduate of Newburyport High School, Newburyport, Massachusetts, and a graduate of Simmons College, Boston, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Trade in 1964. She unexpectedly died at her home in Glyfada, Greece. She lived and worked in Athens, Greece since 1964 to include C.A.R.E., Greek shipping companies, and the American University of Athens. She is survived by her husband, Athan Vellianitis of Mobile, Alabama and Glyfada, Greece, her son, Nick Kalogeropoulos and his wife Katya of Carlisle, MA and four grandchildren, Tatyana, Theodore, Zoe, and Daphnee. She is the daughter of the late Nick and Stella Dedes of Newburyport. Internment will be in Vironas Cemetery, Athens, Greece on 27 August at 11 AM.
