Despoina Ath. “Despo” Sofouli Kontargyri

Greek: Δέσποινα Σοφούλη Daughter of Themistoklis Sofoulis and his first wife, Maria In Greek convention "ΑΘ." indicates that she was the wife of Ath. Kontargyris, rather than a baptismal middle name. She married Athanasios Kontargyris (Αθανάσιος Κονταργύρης), professor at the National University of Athens, and founder of the Greek Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. They had two sons and a daughter. Born 1905 or 1906 at Vathy, Samos, she died in Athens, aged 70.
