Dražen “Praja” Dalipagić

In memoriam

Olympic Gold Medalist. He was an outstanding Serbian professional basketball player and head coach. In 1978, he earned the prestigious title of best athlete of Yugoslavia. He was later enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 2004, alongside his induction into the FIBA Hall of Fame. Throughout his illustrious career, he clinched two Yugoslav league titles and celebrated victory with a gold medal at the 1978 FIBA World Championship and the 1980 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he achieved remarkable success with three gold medals at EuroBasket. His legacy includes being a proud three-time Olympian, solidifying his status as one of the greats in basketball history.
