Private Neindorf, aged 33, died on 22 May 1941, of wounds received at Maleme Airfield while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion. He was the son of Herman Gustav and Rebecca Lydia Neindorf. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 12. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour n Willunga SA, also his name is located at panel 79; Supplementary panel 4 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial . Son of Herman Gustav and Rebecca Lydia Neindorf. His nephew Rex William Neindorf also served in WW2 and was killed in action in Libya.
