Princess Alberta was a 1586 grt steamer of M. Langlands & Sons that was built in 1905. She hit a mine laid by the German submarine UC 23 while on a voyage from Styros Island to Mudros while in government service. Remembered on the War Memorial, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
